Privacy Policy

KoinoScript is operated by Bareke Holdings LLC, a Texas limited liability company, which is responsible for the personal data described here. KoinoScript provides AI-assisted transcription, translation, and content repurposing tools.

• Account data: email address, display name, password (stored as a hash), and language preference. If you sign in with Google: your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.
• User Content: audio and video files you upload or record, and the transcripts, translations, content assets, and exports created from them.
• Usage data: credits used, project activity, and error logs.
• Payment data: subscription status, plan, and billing period. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by us.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and similar metadata, for security and abuse prevention.

Audio, video, transcripts, and exports are stored in private storage and accessed through short-lived signed links. Database access is limited by row-level security, so users can read and write only their own records. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.

We keep your content while your account is open. While a file is being transcribed, we keep a temporary copy of it, deleted when the transcription ends. If a transcription doesn't finish, its temporary copy expires 24 hours after it started and is then deleted automatically. Your original recording stays in your project until you delete it. Deleting a project in the app deletes the project and its files right away; usage records needed for billing are kept.

Closing your account. To close your account, email hello@koinoscript.com from the address on the account; a paid subscription is canceled when the account is closed (see our Terms). Within 30 days of the account's closure, we delete the account and its content from our database and file storage: your profile, projects, recordings and uploads, transcripts, translations, generated content, exports, brand voices, schedules, and usage history.

What we keep after that. Records of your payments and refunds (amounts, dates, plan, and Stripe's reference numbers, without your email address), for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and a record that the account was deleted, with the dates of the request and of the deletion. Stripe keeps its own records of your payments, under its own privacy policy.

Backups and logs. Our database provider takes a backup once a day, to recover from a failure, and keeps each one for about 14 days. Content deleted from our database stays in those backups until they expire, so it is removed from them within about 14 days of its deletion. For a closed account, that means its content is deleted from our systems (our database and file storage) within 30 days of the account's closure, and from the backup copies within about 14 days after that. We don't use backups for anything but recovery; if we ever restore one, we delete closed accounts' content again. Our hosting and database providers keep technical logs (for example sign-in events with the email address used, IP addresses, and errors) for their own limited periods. Content already sent for processing to a service provider listed in section 3 is handled under that provider's terms; in particular, deleting a project or your account does not withdraw audio Deepgram has already received and may use to improve its models.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise them, email hello@koinoscript.com.

KoinoScript is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Our service providers may process your data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Deepgram may process audio it uses to improve its models in other countries.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will tell you about material changes by email or in the app.
